If you ever need a chilled-out house track to mellow your mood and clear your mind then look no further than Lane 8. His latest single “Atlas” is the second release off of his upcoming sophomore album Little By Little set to drop on his own label, This Never Happened, on Jan. 19, 2018. The project’s first single, “No Captain,” was an innovative and beautiful take on his signature sound.
Longtime fans of Lane 8 will find this release a comforting return to the basics of what make his production great. A playful synth riff provides the foundation for a track in which everything else comes in waves. Crisp snares, rounded bass notes and subtle filters all come and go while the bouncy melody only changes in minor detail. “Atlas” is overall a peaceful experience.
