Today we're very excited to be introducing a talented rising artist to the site. Montreal-based artist Nicolas Dupuis, aka Anomalie, has impressed us on his latest single "No Way" that's been stuck in our heads since we first listened.
The incredibly talented keyboardist and producer has a recent collab with Gramatik and has been putting out music on his Lowtemp label. The classically trained pianist brings bouncing keyboard playing to his music that gives it a playful, uplifting sound that we can't get enough of. Anomalie expertly blends his jazzy instrumentation with lush, electronic production making use of soulful vocal samples sprinkled in effortlessly alongside funky lead synths, and crisp percussion coming together in a smooth, organic way. We have some more exciting pieces in the works with Anomalie so stay tuned for more and keep an eye on this rising artist. Enjoy!
