Maggie Rogers has seen rapid growth following her breakout hits “Alaska” and “Dog Years” and continues her quality output with her latest single “On And Off”. This amazing new single was premiered via MistaJam on BBC, which also included an interview in which she shared her upcoming EP will be titled Now That The Light Is Fading and is due Feb. 17.
She further builds her signature sound blending folk music with electronic aesthetics on “On And Off”. Her beautiful voices carries a catchy chorus atop the laid-back piano melodies punching percussion and guitar licks combined with rolling synths and background vocal chops giving the song an electronic edge. We’re excited to see what her forthcoming EP brings as the first few tracks have been sounding amazing. During the interview Maggie talks about how she was making folk music and was inspired by house music while studying abroad in Europe where she was hearing house music and “totally fell in love with dancing”.
