Today we’re introducing newcomer rapper Thutmose to the site with his bright new single “WuWu.” The up-and-comer is currently on tour alongside one of our favorite new artists Billie Eilish and is certainly someone to keep an eye on. We actually previously covered Thutmose for an impressive collaboration with NoMBe and here he's back at it showcasing his talents.
Thutmose is a Brooklyn-based artist whose family fled Lagos Nigeria 14 years ago following a nuclear plant explosion. His life’s story has given him a sense of thankfulness and positivity we hear in this vibrant new single. This new track “WuWu” utilizes a bright, bouncing melody paired with deep, booming bass while Thutmose’s uplifting vocals shine. Here he showcases his ear for melody on the insanely catchy hook along with his bars on the skipping verses. Enjoy!
