Minnesota is back with one of his heaviest releases to date! Just last month we had the opportunity to premiere the Berkeley-based producer’s impressive 53-track set from the Oregon Eclipse Gathering, and today he’s proving that he has no intentions of slowing down with his latest single, “HiLow.” We’ve been waiting on this one for a while, as Minnesota’s been teasing it for weeks during live performances. Needless to say, we’re very impressed with how it turned out.
“HiLow” is no doubt one of Minnesota’s hardest creations ever. The track guides you in with atmospheric synth melodies, sharp percussion and ominous vocal samples shortly before exploding into a filthy drop. The breakdown alternates between those same otherworldly synths and some downright grimy bass that only deepens with each passing second, all with old school vocal samples mixed in perfectly.
