Earlier this week Australian production duo Slumberjack teamed up with K. Flay for a live performance on Triple J’s radio segment, Like A Version. For those that aren’t familiar with Like A Version, it’s a weekly segment on the Australian radio station Triple J that involves bringing international artists into a studio together to perform live versions of their own songs and covers.
For this weeks segment, Slumberjack and K. Flay took on M.I.A’s classic single, “Paper Planes”, effectively turning it into something almost unrecognizable. During the cover, K. Flay pays homage to the lyrics from the original while also adding a bit of Drake into the mix. Slumberjack’s Morgan Then and Fletcher Ehlers played live keyboard and drums throughout the performance and even brought out a string trio to accompany them. Check out Slumberjack and K.
