We recently introduced rising artist Jumo to the site with a premiere of his must-hear Etape EP a few weeks back and are excited to be sharing more new music from this talented artist. Today was have the premiere of his latest tune “Huit Jours” (Eight Days).
After his genre-blending EP, Jumo is back with another release that also intriguingly crosses the line between different genres. “Huit Jours” kicks off with a jazzy piano melody that is quickly layered with more piano as the interesting track builds throughout. A little over a minute into the song a driving, hard-hitting bass kicks come in adding a whole new energy to the song as more layers of shuffling percussion and vocal samples are added. He captures a curious vibe on the track that keeps you on your toes. Enjoy!
