It looks like Calvin Harris is officially back to his house groove. After taking 2017 off to focus on funky hip-hop beats for his star-studded, summertime album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, Calvin has returned to his original sound.
Calvin Harris has dropped off his second house single in the past two weeks with his brand new remix of Halsey’s “Alone.” This catchy new remix utilizes the lyrics of Halsey and of one of the featured artists, Stefflon Don, looping a couple of their bars throughout the track while dropping a bouncy, gritty beat, a sound that we’re hearing from Calvin Harris for the first time.
Even though we loved Calvin’s Funk Wav sound, it’s great to see him continue to keep his happy with some quality house tunes. It’s also cool to see how he’s grown as a producer. These two new tracks sound like they have a funky new flavor added onto what his house production sounded like previously. Enjoy!
